“You gave the whole movie away in the trailer!” It’s a common complaint, and it has merit. Part of the reason why last year’s Longlegs was so feted was that none of the ads gave the slightest hint of how the movie would unfold.
Book trailers are even harder. Luckily, was kind enough to lend his considerable talents to Black Magic’s Prey, a paranormal mystery—one that doesn’t really vibe with the Twilight crowd.
The trailer is perfect in my humble opinion, telling enough of the story to let you know if it’s for you, without giving away too much.
